www.nzwine.co.nz was formed by Rivendell Developments Ltd, a New Zealand family-owned company. Rivendell Developments Ltd began in 1997 for the purpose of retail liquor sales. Over the years, they focused on extending their knowledge of the industry and specialising in fine wines became their top priority. Customer wine appreciation evenings, vineyard tours both in New Zealand and abroad, and the development of their online shopping facility became integral components of their retail business. The bulk of their online orders were from offshore, many of which requesting volumes too great for a retail outlet to have in stock. Hence, in December 2001, the retail outlet was sold to enable the family to focus their full attention to the development of www.nzwine.co.nz. |
